The Mystery and the Hue Digital Download (My experience donating and listening)

I had the hardest time figuring out how to purchase the digital download. It was clearly before my eyes on the widget that I had already embedded to my wall on facebook plus shared with 5 friends. So am I some kind of retard? lol. My brain kept ignoring the "pay what you want to". I kept looking for a link with a price for digital download, not realizing that Peter was generously offering me the digital download for what I wanted to pay. It simply did not compute. Like Peter's mom, I think I was in "protect Peter mode. smile. What is wrong with that child. He'll never get ahead like that!...But you know what? When faced with the responsibility of deciding what to pay Peter, there was no way I was going to donate less than the cost of the vinyl version no matter how many people I referred it to.. I suspect folks will be touched by Peter's generosity and kindnes. they too, will donate like that, possibly more. I certainly would have donated more than 15 bucks if I could afford to.
Most wombats know I was going crazy over "Sit tight"and "Hotel room in Davenport". Peter had already generously pacified me with a sampling of "sit tight" that I had been playing over and over waiting for March 17th.
Let me tell you that I have listened to the entire digital download several times now and can happily report that each song is hauntingly compelling. and addictive. The words are so well thought out. I am assuming Peter wrote them all. Each tune has one hook or another that sucked me in like the winds from a tornado. I am so in love now with georgia clay, raining down from satellite, don't give a damn, good luck charm and all of the rest. I make myself slowly comprehend the meanings of each song. I suspect we will all have our own interpretations. That is what I love about Peter's writing...like a good book or movie..I will be forced to listen over and over, each time discovering something new; falling more and more in love with meanings and melody.
Thanks to Ellen for her long-suffering as she surely must of wondered was I mentally challenged...lol...No, I simply was not used to someone leaving it up to me how I should reward them for such an astounding accomplishment "The mystery and the hum"

That's one of the wonders of following Peter and his music throughout these years.... getting reminded over and over that generosity of spirit still exists in this world. His sharing with us, encourages us to share with others. And thus the world is made better.

It's bothering me that I keep seeing "FREE DOWNLOAD" .... The new-tech phrase is "Shareware" It's SHARED music. He shares the music with us, we share what we can with him.

Thanks so much Peggy. It means a lot to me. The Wombats is the first real connection I've had (besides my biz site community)
With real people on the net. I really feel a bond with Peter's Furious World and the Wombats. He's our common interest...feels good on Tuesday nites when we get together.
